Has anyone successfully breastfed a baby with a cows milk protein allergy?? We're not sure just what is wrong with DS3, as his symptoms could also indicate lactose overload, intolerance or could be just reflux. Can't see the paed for another 2 weeks, having a chat with CYH nurse tomorrow, hopefully get some more info. So, if it is the allergy, just wondering - How hard is it to eliminate ALL dairy from your diet???? I think I eat a reasonable amount when you think of everything with even trace amounts in it, and i'm not sure if I could do it. And I know for the sake of bubs I should, but I have 2 other kids to look after, we live in a motel and don't currently have our own kitchen (and I can't expect the chef to cater for me, however we will be moving into our own onsite house soon), so i'm just not sure the extra stress will be good for any of us!! I just don't know whether to try to start a trial (but then what??) or go straight to a suitable formula (and risk giving up BF if he doesn't have an allergy).
